On this episode, Gaby Lapera (Credit Karma) is on the show to talk about her exciting new podcast called the AnthroBiology Podcast, and how she was inspired to merge her earlier education in anthropology with her experiences working in online content creation and editing to start this science communication production.
Gaby graduated with an MA in Anthropology before moving into freelance writing, social media management, editing articles about technology and consumer goods, and podcasting about the world of finance. Earlier this year, she started the AnthroBiology Podcast, for which she interviews experts working in human evolution, primatology, museum curation and other subdisciplines to give her listeners a glimpse into the day-to-day jobs of biological anthropologists actively working today.
What steps were required in order to start her podcast from scratch? How does Gaby prepare to interview experts about biological anthropology, and does Michael prepare The Arch and Anth Podcast in a similar way? What are some of the common themes regarding the history of science and research ethics that get brought up in her interviews so far with a variety of guests? Where can people find the AnthroBiology Podcast if they want to listen to the show?
You can find more information in the show notes under the episode on our website.
If you want to ask any questions, The AnthroBiology Podcast can be found on Instagram, Twitter and the podcast website.
