One of my fondest memories of my childhood was watching the movie, Cinderella. I adored her gown and couldn’t wait to someday wear my own. Like many young women, I wore my first fancy dress to my high school prom. I was lucky because my mother, who was a seamstress, made my beautiful dress.
This is prom season, and young women everywhere are choosing dresses and other outfits to strut on their special night. Thanks to a savvy and kind woman, a retired investment banker turned substitute teacher, turned community leader – many high-schoolers in Newark, New Jersey, and surrounding areas are getting their dresses for FREE! Their Fairy Godmother and our guest today on the Ageless Glamour Girls Podcast is Jacqueline E. Barnes, a Community Health Worker.
