When it comes to party politics, the duties of the chairman are typically concerned with the party membership as a whole, and the activities of the party organization. As a chair focuses outside the party, the vice-chair looks inward. Richard isn’t playing politics, he is looking for ways to streamline the party by innovating accessibility, creating solutions within, and shedding some of the old ways. About the Guest: Richard Longstreth is a Libertarian activist from Arizona who has been serving as the Region 1 Representative to the Libertarian National Committee since 2018. He previously held several state leadership positions in Colorado including Regions Director, Campaigns Director, and Vice-Chair. He was also a candidate for the 2nd Congressional District in Colorado for the US House of Representatives in 2016. Richard is currently running to be the next Vice-Chair of the LNC and has the vision to reignite the Libertarian Party’s grassroots activists and better support candidates at all levels. He emphasizes a message of professionalism has a demonstrated ability to work with members of the Party from across the caucus spectrum.
