Welcome to our 1 Year Anniversary special episode on the Breakfast with Tiffany Show podcast! In celebration of achieving another major milestone, joining us is the iconic Lavelle Smith Jr. from the US. With the cutting edge of today’s entertainment industry with his award-winning dance routines and his expertise as a movement stylist.

Lavelle is a long-time friend of Tiffany’s and they discuss about the pandemic with the concerns and the effects it had on them. Lavelle confesses how he began to “eat his feelings” during this time which lead to them going on a soul search to take care of themselves again. He emphasizes how happy he is and how important it is to have that joy in one’s life. We then delve into Lavelle's childhood and learn when their love for dance first began. He mentions the great support system he had growing up, yet the awareness he had to have around racism as a black man. Lavelles tells us how important representation is for many marginalized people.

Lavelle Smith Jr. is a long-time innovator and a very respected artist. As a choreographer, he created the steps that grabbed the attention of artists such as Michael & Janet Jackson, and the Rolling Stones. TLC, En Vogue, Teena Marie, Diana Ross, Rihanna, Beyoncé, TLC, Rod Stewart, and many more famous musicians. Whether he’s working in a music video, film, television show, commercial, or even a live tour, he makes movement a part of everything we see. It’s no wonder he’s at the top of his game. Five-time Winner of the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARD for BEST CHOREOGRAPHY 1992 for “ My Lovin’, “ 1993 for “Free Your Mind”, 1994 for “Whata Man”, 1995 for “Scream”, and 2003 for Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love, as well as the recipient Of the MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCERS Award twice for Outstanding Choreography. He Is one of the youngest inductees into the “GALLERY OF GREATS”, and has received numerous other award nominations, including the EMMY and the winner of the SSDC BOB FOSSE AWARD for BEST CHOREOGRAPHY. He has been inducted into the DuPont Manuel Hall of Fame. Lavelle was a judge and mentor on the “Move Like Michael Jackson” Television show in Europe, England, Holland, and Belgium.
