Mabuhay and Welcome to DREAM TO SHINE show. I'm Loreta and in this episode, I will be sharing about the importance of BEING IN A PEAK STATE ALWAYS!!!
Being in a peak state is to function and operate at the level we want to be, so that we can achieve your dream, fulfil our destiny and inspire others to do the same.
Our emotions are the foundation that peak state is built upon. They have the ability to control everything in our lives – our mood, our decisions and our actions. We need to get into a positive state to make progress and be productive.
What is your desired state?
How do you manage your emotions?
How do you speak to yourself? To your family? To your spouse? To your Children? Colleague? Etc
Story: You’re in a negative state and mood, so you watch a sad movie (drama), or listen to sentimental or depressing songs
Negative Positive self-talk
I feel sick I am well and healthy
I am tired I am full of energy
I am poor I am rich
Believe, Declare and Receive (Claim it!)
Achieving a positive mindset comes down to understanding Tony Robbins’ triad of emotional psychology. This involves mastering the three forces that control our emotions – ie physiology, language and focus.
1. PHYSIOLOGY (ACTION)
The first component of the triad is physiology. Physiology refers to our body and all its systems. Physiology dictates our feelings: How we use our body affects how we feel mentally and emotionally. If we want to master our feelings, we must be aware of how our feelings and our body are interconnected: If we stand up straight, we’ll feel more proud and alert. If we slump over and neglect our body, we’re more likely to feel negatively. The next time we find yourself in a bad mood, stand up and breathe deeply. We have the power to reset our mind and mood. Healthy mind = healthy body
HOW YOU DO ANYTHING IS HOW YOU DO EVERYTHING!
2. FOCUS
Tony tells us, “Where focus goes, energy flows.” The second component of the triad says that what we put our focus on is where you set our intention. Focus on the things we want and are working toward, instead of the things holding us back. Setting our focus on the positives is one of the most essential steps toward achieving our peak state.
Requires DISCIPLINE, beware of distractions!
3. LANGUAGE (WORDS)
The third component of the triad is language. We speak to ourselves internally and out loud. How we talk to ourselves determines how we operate in the world. If we ask questions like “Why do bad things always happen to me?” instead of “What can I do to better my situation?” we are more likely to feel powerless in our own life. How we use language determines what emotions we feel, so let’s choose wise and empowering words when we speak to ourselves.
Proverbs 18:21 (NIV) The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Use transformational, right and empowering words. Intensity of words intensifies situation. Use calming words.
A simple change of any of this 3 components will change your life!
