Using Neuroscience To Get The Life You Want
Manage episode 329659185 series 2858158
Join Ulrike with her guest, Odille Remmert, a Subconscious Reprogramming Specialist and Empowerment Coach, as they share easy-to-apply techniques to trigger a mindset shift. Tune in if you want to learn how to produce positive emotions that enable you to become more productive and creative.
In this episode, Odille shares insightful information and creates an understanding of the life-changing Remmert Method. This method is based on three simple facts:
1. Thoughts are connections between neurons (nerve cells) in the neocortex of the brain, and those connections trigger matching chemicals: Positive thoughts trigger “feel-good” chemicals, and negative thoughts trigger stress chemicals.
2. Stress chemicals cause blood to drain from the prefrontal cortex of the brain (where we do our cognitive thinking). This means that when we're in a negative emotional state, we literally can't think straight - because we don't have access to the part of the brain we need for: problem-solving; comprehending information; strategizing; noticing opportunities; and all other higher levels of thinking.
3. Implicit childhood memories provide the “evidence” that proves our self-image and worldview. In turn, our self-image and worldview provide the foundation for our unconscious decisions and actions. And those memories can be changed to the opposite, positive, and empowering!
