Here's a special filmmaker focused Geekscape for you! My grad school friend Brett Levner is making her next feature film: 'Riot in Bloom'! Her last feature film 'The Track' featured Missy Yager and Sam Trammell and told the story of a suburban woman developing a mother daughter relationship with a Vegas sex worker. 'Riot in Bloom' is also a story of a woman discovering the next phase in her life, but looks like it's going to be a faster, punkier, comedic spin for Brett! We'll talk to her about the challenges of putting together an indie film outside of the New York and L.A. systems, the motivation for the film (involving murder scenes, mega churches and a Baldwin brother) and how her college students are stepping in to help get it done!
