Is the Mandela Effect a real thing or just proof that we have horrible memories?
Some people share false memories, and these are memories from a parallel universe. True believers feel this is the only thing that explains how multiple people share the same memories.
Science does admit the possibility of parallel universes existing is possible, but scientists stop right there in the discussion. So, why do so many people have memories of things we know did not occur?
I, myself, share some of these false memories of the Mandela Effect. However, I'm not a true believer in this concept. We humans do not have the best memories and remember things differently than they actually happened all the time.
However, maybe our consciousness connects to all of the other parallel universes, and sometimes our wires get crossed and remember some event from another timeline.
