Elspeth Wright and Raquel Maestre join Chris Venditto and I on this very special episode of Go Plug Yourself where we celebrate the upcoming LadyFest! That’s right, LadyFest is returning for the first time since 2019 celebrating, supporting and inspiring women performing comedy in Montreal! Elspeth and Raquel talk about language in comedy, producing shows and obviously boy bands and pop music.

Stay up to date with all the upcoming shows on the LadyFestMTL Facebook Page and Instagram. LadyFest kicks off September 13th with a special LadyFest edition of Stand-up St-Henri and then runs from the 14th to the 16th at the Diving Bell Social Club.

Also – and this is just for me now – on the Facebook page LadyFest keeps posting “MEET OUR CASTS” which is totally reasonable. However, my brain continually registers it as “MEET OUR CATS”. Meow.
