In May of 1995 I was introduced to the two B's that were going to change my life forever; Brixton & Buddhism! I was just getting over the flu, yeah I know, in summer?? and friends dragged me out to a party at The Lido in Brixton; the place was jumping and exactly what I needed, much better than Lemsip! There was dancing in and around the pool and it was heaving with people I had never met before, and it was here where I first saw this week's guest; John Cormican.
John was already a Buddhist and friends with my boyfriend at the time, so we got to know each other over the years and after the boyfriend, I split and I became a practitioner of Nichiren Buddhism, John and I remained great friends and have been cheerleaders for each other's relationships, careers, our growing families and share some fantastic memories of tearing up the dancefloor!!
We'll be talking about those dancing days, John's incredible artistic talents, and our 25 friendship. Wrapped up as usual in bear-hug of positive news about issues and campaigns that make a difference from 'News From The Rooftop', mixed in with your Happy Happenings; the good stuff going on in and around your life which is making you happy.
