WHAT IS HASHIMOTO’S THYROIDITIS?

Quickly, Hashimoto’s is when you have antibodies to your own thyroid. Your immune system is attacking your thyroid.

Your thyroid produces thyroid hormone which is like the spark plug that lets each cell work. So when you have Hashimoto’s, every single cell in your entire body is impacted. That’s Hashimoto’s in a nutshell.
