Most marketing is conducted on social media; networking with local cake clubs is vital for exposure; hosting a variety of classes: girls’ night out (similar to paint and sip parties), daytime classes for adults, and weekend birthday parties for children. According to Johnson, “No one leaves a party without buying supplies afterwards.” This retail franchise will cost between $150,000 and $200,000 and all of the existing franchisees were able to get financial assistance.
