37: Thriving in the Workplace After Loss with Karista Marcinek, Culture Creator

Karista Marcinek is a Sydney-based creative consultant, culture curator, and change maker. After suffering a miscarriage at 18 weeks gestation during Covid where she realized she was pregnant as she was miscarrying, she returned to work in an environment that was insensitive to what she had experienced. and realized there were too many people suffering in silence after experiencing a traumatic life event, so it ignited a passion in her to become an advocate for creating better cultures in the workplace.
She shares with us her story of losing the baby she didn’t know she wanted and the realizations she had about grief, loneliness, and her quest for healing.
Karista is the founder of Intuitively Create where she works assisting clients with big transitions in their lives. She also works with companies to curate better cultures in their workplaces. Coupled with hosting the 'Not Compliant Enough' podcast exploring all aspects of work, she runs a program called 'Silent Survivors' through holistic mentoring imparts the tools and wisdom of lived experience to help navigate being in adverse workplace environments.
