A wordsmith, a master of language, a carnival barker with a message of love, a broken record what goes backwards and forwards you never know. An artist, a performing artist. An artist in the tradition of the best, of the most, of the greatest voices of modern time; it's all in here, in these verbal packages from his lungs into his mouth over his tongue and teeth to deliver the next line and the next and the Jesus, I can't do Gandhi justice. Don't expect anything short of feeling like you're sitting in a stuffed purple velvet seat with yellow fringe and the lights are low and on the table in front of you is a low-light candle and a hurricane in a stovepipe glass. Your neighbor is smoking a long cigarette but you don't mind, mind your own business, it's after Covid- long after or well before, it doesn't matter, all that matters is for the moments this giant weirdo is up on stage, you feel transported, your heart takes flight, you know, in your heart of hearts, that everything is going to be alright.
