Laura Neale talks to Grace. Laura is passionate about community, specifically an inclusive, loving and accessible church community for all with chronic illness and disability.

Laura established YouBelong which aims to provide:

· an online support network of people who share the struggles and questions that arise from living as a christian with chronic illness and/ or disability.

· spaces to discuss disability and chronic illness theology

· a church who love and support

It does this by supporting, connecting and empowering people through both faith based and community focused activities on social media and other digital platforms.

YouBelong is also working towards charity status and engaging with churches to raise awareness of chronic illness and disability, encouraging them to consider inclusivity and accessibility in all their activities, on and offline.

Our History

Alison & Grace were having a conversation in the summer of 2019 about podcasts and they weren't aware of any at the time that spoke to their context, so they decided to set one up. You can hear more about their thinking about the podcast on the Introductions episode.

Grace & Alison both have some theological education, are members of a charismatic evangelical Church of England church and have a desire to explore what it is to be a Christian woman as a feminist today and the implications of that.
