The stories that come "after the because," often nest in our minds as thoughts, solidify in our tissues, and are expressed through our judgements and actions. We become storytellers of fiction, where simple inquiry would reveal the truth. We will never know others' intentions unless we ask them directly. Each of us has written a novel over our lifetimes.
