Wendy shares her journey at Stevens Transport, starting as a grad DM and eventually becoming the Operations Manager for the dedicated fleet. The dedicated fleet has been around for almost 20 years and has experienced significant growth, currently consisting of 200 trucks. Wendy attributes this growth to the strong partnership and contract with their largest customer. The dedicated fleet offers drivers the opportunity to be home more often, which is a major selling point for drivers looking to spend time with their families. The fleet has a waiting list of 160 drivers, showcasing the high demand and attractiveness of the dedicated fleet. Wendy emphasizes the importance of consistency and the level of commitment from their drivers, many of whom have been with the fleet for 15-20 years.
