Back when I first started doing ultras, I had no clue about either one…
I mean, I had heard of heart rate zones but I was thoroughly confused about how to integrate them into my training, so I didn’t!
Not to mention that I thought that type of training was for elite runners and I’m clearly not one of them!
Fast forward to the present and I’ve used both of these methods to train for everything from 50k’s to 200 milers.
And…I use these methods to help my clients hit their ultra goals too!
