Brad Gonzalez joins us on The Symbiosis Now Podcast for a deep conversation, beginning with a summation of the book titled The Dark Forest by Liu Cixin. This book relates to humanity and its vulnerability to possible "alien" contact. Humanity is constantly in a fight to survive, and if we were found by some sort of outside civilization, Brad and the book suggest we would fight each other and remain hostile to any foreign influences, just as we have shown to do on Earth. As we enter the Second Space Race, we must recall how we viewed foreign influence of all kinds as "alien." Back in the day when Columbus "found America" the natives and the Spanish did not mesh well, and later the white man viewed the natives as savage non-human aliens. It is quite miraculous that we have made it this far into our existence as a specie, and the meshing of cultures that we have achieved must be embraced and remembered, so we can gain more symbiotic momentum towards a better tomorrow.
