Manage episode 333533131 series 3258277
The ‘Where People Meet’ podcast is back again with a brand new look and feel! Thanks to Riverside.fm, we are taking our audio and video quality up a notch by introducing a new layout where you, the audience, are able to see our podcast host and guest at the same time on one screen! In this newly-refreshed version of the podcast, we are joined by Lindsay Carroll, who is the Managing Director of Events and Production at the Robin Hood Foundation. As New York City’s largest poverty-fighting organization, Robin Hood finds, funds and creates more than 200 of the most effective and innovative programs to help low-income New Yorkers overcome poverty. Lindsay has produced and executed Robin Hood’s most significant events including the Robin Hood Benefit (raising over $126 million for the fight against poverty in 2022), Robin Hood Investors Conference, Robin Hood Rocks concert series and Heroes Breakfast among many others.
With her level of success, we were lucky enough to have Lindsay sit down to answer a few questions about how she came to be where she is today, how Robin Hood helps combat issues of poverty and advance social good, what some of the challenges were that her team faced while hosting a large-scale, in-person event of its size during a pandemic, and how she manages to keep social good at the forefront of her events’ goals and strategies. Lindsay shares several valuable tips and tricks with our listeners, so make sure to stay tuned till the end to learn how you too can implement social good and make it the center point of your next upcoming event!
