Welcome to season 2, episode 19 of the Today is the Day Changemakers Podcast.
This week my guest is Tara Pollifrone, Mom to a five month old daughter and Founder of The Beacon society, a personal growth company whose mission is to cultivate a society of women who are no longer afraid to shine their light. This episode really shines a light on the importance of connecting with who you truly are. Up until the age of 32 years old Tara says she was on auto pilot and now after doing a lot of inner child work she feels like she just flows.

She did not have the easiest of childhoods and feels that she disassociated from many of the memories that were made. However, being in school always made her feel connected, so she decided to become a teacher and teach Special Education Math in High School. Although she loves working with the kids she now has a passion to teach people in a different way.

She is currently being led to work with moms and is still gaining clarity around exactly what that will look like. However, she knows that through human design and inner child work she can help women find themselves and unapologetically show up in their life with more joy, confidence fulfillment, passion and success.

We talk about some of the challenges Tara had with conceiving her daughter and how that experience allowed her to go through understanding her own personal triggers. We also discuss the demands of motherhood and the importance around the word surrender. In order to provide the nourishment of love and attention to those we are ultimately responsible for, we must do the same for ourselves. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there.
