In this episode, we talk about the new one-time transfer rule that was approved by the NCAA. Student athletes, in football and men's and women's basketball, are now immediately eligible if the student athlete wishes to transfer. Also, as of June 1, 2021, the NCAA is lifting the recruiting dead period, which allows coaches to start having official and unofficial visits.
After an investigation by the NCAA into the bribery scandal the FBI initially investigated, the NCAA infractions committee placed USC basketball on two years probation and imposed a 3-year show cause order for the assistant coach. Was this penalty too light or just right?
