Good morning, New York City! This is your weather wake-up call for a chilly start to the weekend.
Today's looking like a crisp winter wonderland with mostly sunny skies and temperatures struggling to reach a high of 34 degrees Fahrenheit. But hold onto your scarves, because the wind chill is going to make it feel more like the teens and twenties! Expect a brisk west wind blowing around 15 to 20 miles per hour, so layer up, city dwellers!
Tonight, we're in for a bit of a temperature tease. Clouds will start rolling in, and we'll hover right around the freezing mark at 32 degrees Fahrenheit. The west wind will calm down a bit, hanging around 7 to 13 miles per hour.
Monday's bringing a little winter surprise with light snow likely before the afternoon. We're looking at a high of just 32 degrees Fahrenheit, with a chance of precipitation at 60 percent. Expect a dusting of less than an inch of snow to add a bit of winter magic to your day.
The rest of the week looks cold but mostly clear. Tuesday will be sunny but blustery, with temperatures struggling to reach 31 degrees Fahrenheit. Wednesday continues the sunny trend, and Thursday gives us a slight warm-up with mostly sunny skies and a high near 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Friday brings a bit of relief with temperatures climbing to a more comfortable 37 degrees Fahrenheit. And for all you snow lovers, Saturday has a 30 percent chance of some snowflakes to keep things interesting.
Pro tip: Keep those winter layers handy and your hot coffee closer!
