Good morning, New York City! This is your weather report for Thursday, February 6th, coming to you hot... well, actually, more like cold and wet!
We've got a Winter Weather Advisory in effect, so buckle up for a messy morning commute. Overnight, expect some light snow with temperatures hovering around 33 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill will make it feel like a chilly 25 to 30 degrees, with southeast winds around 9 miles per hour.
Thursday morning starts with a wintery mix - snow and sleet potentially blending with freezing rain before 10 am, then transitioning to plain old rain. Patchy fog will roll in after noon, with temperatures climbing to a whopping 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will shift from east to west throughout the day.
Friday looks much brighter - mostly sunny with a high near 41 degrees Fahrenheit. But hold onto your hats, it'll be breezy with northwest winds up to 20 miles per hour and gusts potentially reaching 32 miles per hour.
The weekend brings some interesting weather. Saturday will be partly sunny, and Saturday night looks like a precipitation party with snow, sleet, and rain taking turns.
Sunday offers a 50 percent chance of rain and snow in the morning before clearing up, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
