Good morning, New York City! This is your weather report for Wednesday, February 18th, 2025.
Bundle up, because winter is giving us a chilly reminder today! We're looking at a mostly sunny day with temperatures struggling to reach a high near 29 degrees Fahrenheit. But don't let the sunshine fool you - it's going to feel frigid out there. Wind chill values will hover between 5 and 15 degrees, and we've got some serious wind action happening with west winds around 21 miles per hour, gusting up to 37 miles per hour. You'll definitely want to layer up today!
Tonight, we're keeping it cool with mostly clear skies and temperatures dropping to around 18 degrees Fahrenheit. Those west winds will continue to blow at 15 to 17 miles per hour, so keep that winter gear handy.
Looking ahead to the rest of the week, Wednesday will see increasing clouds with a high near 31 degrees Fahrenheit. Thursday brings a 30 percent chance of snow after 1 pm, so keep an eye on those forecasts. By Friday, we'll catch a break with sunny skies and temperatures climbing to a more bearable 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
The weekend is looking pretty nice with mostly sunny conditions and temperatures gradually warming up. Saturday will hit near 39 degrees, and Sunday will treat us to a pleasant 44 degrees Fahrenheit.
