Dustin Winn (Class of 2014) is a seasoned Public Relations professional with more than 10 years of experience managing global video games and tech-driven PR campaigns. Dustin shares the story of how he took his passion for gaming and turned it into a career, which now includes being the co-founder of Ember PR.
That wasn't Dustin's plan and it didn't happen immediately. He gives advice on becoming a master of your craft, whether you need to be a gamer to excel in the video game industry, how different games are marketed based on the audience, the rise of social media influencers to promote a game, and how he selects media members to attend special events.

"Where Ya At?" is a podcast focused on the School of Journalism and Media Studies at San Diego State University.
