We include other elements of our worship service to help give some context to each message from scripture and to invite people into a glimpse of what it is like to worship with the people of HTE. We record the room in our services which allow you to feel like you are there with us, it also means that babies will cry and people will make some noise, we are all human after all!

Holy Trinity Church is an Anglican church founded by Pastor Todd Hunter, located in Orange County, California. We are deeply interested in Jesus Christ, the church, and the world around us. We admit that our services are a bit eclectic: a combination of biblical teaching, openness to things of the Spirit in worship and prayer, and Anglican liturgy. We are apprentices of Jesus, learning how to do what he did, live as he lived, for the sake of others. If you find yourself in Orange County, we ...

Jesus tells a parable of a man who is so morally bankrupt that he not only cheats his employer but then cheats him again to gain favor in the world. His employer admires him for his craftiness and pique. Then Jesus seems to wonder why it is we can be so imaginative at doing bad to further ourselves and not that imaginative when it comes to advancin…

The Gospel According to Mark 8:34-38; 9:1 The Lord said: "If anyone wishes to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? For wh…

Jesus came to find the lost. That is good news… if I ever get lost. Admitting that we need to be found, encountered, and saved by Christ is hard because we want to be in charge and in control. We hate to admit our failings. Our worship is a celebration of the lost being found and the divine celebration that results… if we can just admit we’re lost.…

John 3:13-17 The Lord said, "No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven, the Son of man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in…

The journey of faith is – or should be – filled with moments of decision. When the way of Jesus contradicts what we think, what was taught, and what we value and love, we are faced with a choice to follow or not. These are moments where the cross comes into view, and we must either pick it up or lay it aside. These are “when push comes to shove” mo…

Matthew 19:16-26 At that time, a young man came up to Jesus, kneeling and saying, "Good Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?" And he said to him, "Why do you call me good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments." He said to him, "Which?" And Jesus said, "You shall not kill, You shall not commit …

The world is an ever-changing place which means it is a world that drives us crazy and stokes our fears. We are divided and fragmented, and we live as isolated individuals with wrecked relationships. It doesn’t have to be that way. The people of God offer a way of living that gives us hope and is rooted in love. The ever-changing world meets Jesus,…

Matthew 18:23-35 The Lord said this parable: "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants. When he began the reckoning, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents; and as he could not pay, his lord ordered him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to…

We have all learned that vaccines create resistance to disease in our bodies. In the same way, we can be resistant to God’s grace. When Jesus heals a woman on the Sabbath, people are angry. Jesus sets her free and gives her rest from eighteen years of suffering. That is what the Sabbath is about. Yet some fail to see her suffering and prefer keepin…

Matthew 17:14-23 At that time, a man came up to Jesus and kneeling before him said, "Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and he suffers terribly; for often he falls into the fire, and often into the water. And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not heal him." And Jesus answered, "O faithless and perverse generation, how …
