Originally from Detroit and after living in New York, DYLA now resides in Los Angeles. DYLA started her DJ career in 2009. While working as a bottle server at one of L.A.’s hottest nightclubs, Vanguard (now Create), DYLA became captivated by the massive headliners that took to the stage week after week. There, she found her passion for House Music and transcended to a full on desire to be on that stage as a performer. DYLA has played in venues all over the Los Angeles area including Exchange L.A., Avalon, Playhouse, King King, Ecco (now Couture) and Tru Hollywood, just to name a few. She has also been invited to share her sound at Escape From Wonderland’s Silent Disco. DYLA has also been involved with many Dance Music radio shows such as KXLU 88.9FM Los Angeles, Different Shades Radio Show, Vibes N Stuff and multiple radio shows on the internationally acclaimed DI Radio. A weekly radio show with partners AJ Mora and DJ Ella called The Femme Fatale Radio Show, was aired on ElectroDMRadio.com for over a year. She has had multiple podcast mixes available in iTunes and on an exclusive Blackberry Podcast App. In 2011, DYLA had her first Beatport release with producer AJ Mora. She is currently working on remix and production projects with AJ Mora and Tony Smooth and has soon to be released tracks on some of today’s most recognized labels. This collaboration formed to what is now known as All We Need Is... and together the trio has been playing in multiple venues throughout Los Angeles. DYLA has shared the bill with acclaimed DJs such as Kaskade, Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Late Night Alumni, Andy Caldwell, Morgan Page, Max Vangeli, Trent Cantrell, Victor Simonelli, Missy Jay, Sultan, Jeremy Dawson and many more. DYLA is known for her Tech House sound but has recently been transitioning into Deep Tech and Techno. With a passion for all genres of House Music, she continues to mold her sound and has the ability to keep it unique as her own.
