This past weekend we closed out our Summer Sermon Series with the final fruit of the Spirit, self-control. Most of us view self-control like that overdue dentist appointment - it’s necessary but dreaded. It has such a bad reputation, yet it’s a foundational character trait that other virtues like joy, gratitude, and generosity rely upon. While we tend to think of self-control as a strictly human enterprise, Scripture tells us self-control is a product of being connected to God. Let’s unpack more of what this means together.
