As the next hurricane bears down on Florida, Republicans across the states hit by the last one are having to clean up Trump’s lies about the clean up. Never Trumpers recognize this as the Gop platform. While pro-Trumpers like Elon “Leon” Musk see the disaster as a promotional platform. No one’s entirely sure of what some conservative Christians see in the platform, but apparently there are millions of them uninterested in voting. So we’ve got that going for us. Which is nice.

One thing you hear a lot, if you talk about the polls often enough: the polls are either wrong, or they don’t make sense. Here’s a way to make sense of them either not making sense or being wrong.

Trump begins a series of rallies inexplicable with conventional campaign strategies: in Aurora, CO (where he’ll lose, but which evokes his racist targeting of immigrant communities); in NYC’s Madison Square Garden (where he’ll lose, but which evokes memories of previous Nazi rallies), and; in Coachella, CA (where he’ll lose, but which hold out the possibility that he’ll be baked to death).

“God Bless the USA,” but make the check out to China. You’ll never guess (nor do you have to, now) where those Trump bibles are printed!

Are you better off now than you were four years ago? Well, four years ago, you may have been waiting in line for hours, to get to a drive-through mass testing site, to be screened for COVID. But that’s not what Vladimir Putin was doing, thanks to the guy who was supposed to be putting America First.
