21:38People want to feel supported and safe at work – and inspired to innovate. What can people working at large corporations do to create this kind of environment? Saskia Mureau is the Director of Customer Digital at the Port of Rotterdam where she is harnessing digital systems to reduce emissions. She is passionate about creating inclusive workplaces where psychological safety and collaboration drive meaningful change. In this episode, Kamila sits down with Suchi to talk about why she chose to work at large corporations rather than startups. Saskia also reflects on her personal experiences, including navigating IVF while at work, and discusses how organizations can foster environments where employees feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work. ×I paced around my apartment trying to figure out the whole “fake” thing, even went for a jog. Came to the conclusion that I’m a fake for—and before I even delve into this, I’m sure that this epiphany, of sorts, will seem conspicuous, and perhaps, as I age, I’ll realize that this, that all of this was idiotic, dumb post-childhood babble about nothing. Maybe not, though. Anyway, I realized that I’m a fake for preaching so much about equality this, that, and I’m still able to even think (let alone answer) such a question as: “If you could live among only one ethnicity, what would it be?” I think that this is a very understanding question. Understanding of yourself, understanding of the way that you perceive the world, and then from there you can dig into why. However! I’m upset with myself for being able to categorize people so easily. White people here, black people here… (It always confused me why, on college applications and such, there’s a box that asks: Hispanic, Yes or No. And then that’s its own section… Anyway…) I know, I know that this is how the world is. You see people, and okay… This person is this, that person is that. I wonder if we can unteach ourselves these things, though. And I also wonder if that would be considered evolving, or devolving, and if either of these concepts are relevant. God forbid people learn compassion again. Nostalgia doesn’t make much sense either. When were people compassionate? When they were chopping heads off, and throwing them down staircases? Back before fire, when there was, like, one other person to be compassionate to? I think, and this is stepping on the bounds of cliche, but I think that this is an unparalleled time to be a human. So much information, some real, others not. So many directions that we can go, because we’ve seen so much and, from here, we can decide how we want our future to look. Yes, we. Me, you. The person with the eyes, the hands, none of the above. The person with a beating heart, and a brain in their skull. Thank you for listening to One or All Notions, I’ll see you on Neptune.…

1:58One or All Notions: A Podcast I apologize for the tardiness of this episode, but I was in Argentina w/o a computer. Not that this really matters, but I figured that I should explain myself to the imaginary audience. Is explaining oneself making an excuse? There's a fine line, I suppose. As for Vegas, I planned on uploading an episode called The Cure for Violence is More Masturbation, but I didn't. The thesis is, essentially, in the title. However, if you want more, here's an excerpt: "What do you do when you’re masturbating? Straightforward rhetorical question. You dream up all of these deep-rooted, leather, pregnant fantasies & experience them mentally so they never have to occur IRL." With that in mind, a person could masturbate to the thought of murder, rape, etc. etc., instead of actually committing the crime. Imaginations are more powerful than reality most of the time, anyway. That's all for now. P.S. The first song here is very good, if you'd like to listen to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpYCCcWlxNo…
