Vi ricordate le risate guardando l'episodio della serie tv 'Boris' dove scimmiottavano 'la festa del grazie'? Voi ridete, intanto vedrete come tra un po' cominceranno a celebrarla e festeggiarla anche qui da noi, perchè a noi queste cose piacciono troppo! Io tra il vedere e il non vedere mi porto avanti e aguro una buonissima festa del grazie, perché questo è il momento del noi!

A noi italiani piace particolarmente scimmiottare tutto quello che si fa negli Stati Uniti, senza nemmeno renderci conto a volte che quello che fanno è una cosa che ha avuto le sue origini in Europa. Pensate un po' alla festa di Halloween ogni anno, apriti cielo e spalancati terra, ah queste usanze americane! Ma che americane e americane! È una festa europea che non si può più. È una festa che viene festeggiata dalla notte dei tempi in tutto il mondo cristiano ed è la festa di Ognissanti che poi è arrivata negli Stati Uniti, ha cambiato nome, ce l'hanno ri-impacchettata e ce l'hanno rimandata a casa.

Ora, subdolamente, secondo me si sta insinuando anche questa cosa qua da noi. Io ricordo uno spassosissimo episodio di quella fantastica serie, che più che una serie televisiva è un documentario, sì, sto parlando di Boris, dove gli sceneggiatori rubavano a destra e a manca le storie scritte in inglese che in Italia non si conoscevano, e per riadattare un episodio ambientato in America il giorno del ringraziamento, avevano tradotto la 'festa del grazie', quindi si erano inventati questa cosa qua. E, secondo me, subdolamente, la 'festa del grazie' durante la quale si mangiano i piccioni, si sta subdolamente infilando anche nelle nostre tradizioni.
Perché? Sì, perché ci piace scimmiottare tutto quello che fanno da quella parte, ci sembra che sia chissà che, lo vogliamo riproporre noi. Capita anche con molti vocaboli: il famoso 'summit' è scritto 'summit' perché è una parola latina che però a noi faceva schifo quando era solo latina, però ci piace un sacco ora che è diventata una parola inglese, noi l'abbiamo riassorbita nel nostro linguaggio e parliamo di summit riferendoci al latinissimo summit.
Non lo so perché ve lo sto raccontando. È un'ispirazione che mi è venuta stamattina, volevo augurarvi una buona festa del grazie, visto che si comincia anche già a parlare del 'momento del noi'.

Why? Well, because we like to ape everything they do over there, we feel like it's who knows what, we want to repurpose it ourselves. It also happens with a lot of words: the famous 'summit' is spelt 'summit' because it is a Latin word that we found awful when it was just Latin, however we like it a lot now that it has become an English word, we have reabsorbed it into our language and we talk about summit referring to the very Latin summit.
