Colonial Denial of Indigenous Migrant Asylees and Refugees Rights and State-Sponsored Terrorism along the U.S.-Mexico Colonial Border and the South” Recent American mass media coverage of migrants along the U.S.-Mexico colonial border continuously censor, erase, and ignore the harsh experiences of migrating Indigenous peoples legally seeking asylum or refugee status within the political defined borders of the United States. Not only are migrating Indigenous peoples escaping often times torturous and threatening conditions in their home countries, but also they frequently endure more compounded human rights abuses traveling through Mexico, along with U.S.-Mexico settler colonial border, and within the United States. Our guest for the hour provides extensive and in-depth analysis and update on the recent interrelated events regarding Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples seeking either asylum or refugee status migrating into the United States along the U.S-Mexico and the south.
