At the same time, Hunt is forced to escort Baxian around the Comitium before he can return home to Bryce. Despite the day's surprises, Bryce and Hunt find time to enjoy themselves. Under the watchful eyes of his friends, Ruhn makes contact with Agent Daybright for the first time. The next day, while Tharion and Ithan hunt down clues that lead to Emile, Bryce, and Ruhn make their way to their weekly magic training, only for Ruhn to be spirited away by reapers claiming to be sent by the Prince of the Pit. With the help of Cormac, Bryce rescues Ruhn and wields a blade that can kill the unkillable: The Starsword.
