Meanwhile, a handful of assistant coaches including Souths legend John Sutton will take over.
In other rugby news; the Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that Wallabies five-eighth Carter Gordon is weighing up a code switch and has held talks with the Gold Coast Titans, amid uncertainty over the survival of his club, the Melbourne Rebels, facing being axed from Super Rugby Pacific due to massive debts.
Gordon is off contract with the Rebels and Rugby Australia at the end of the 2024 season.

In football: Our world famous tips for the UEFA Champions League semifinals tonight – Real Madrid to bonza Bayern Munich and PSG to bongo Borussia Dortmund.
In combat sports: Apart from going unbeaten in his first 21 fights, Vergil Ortiz Jnr has won all of them via KO. Officially, the rising star has finished almost half of his rivals within two rounds – with the quickest being Brazilian Evandro Cavalheiro, 21 seconds, and another in just 40 seconds.

2. Washington Commanders — Jayden Daniels QB, LSU
Contract: US$37M. The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner soared up NFL draft boards while leading LSU to a 10–3 record in the regular season. Along the way, and since leaving school, he’s racked up deals with Raising Cane’s, Bisquick, Neiman Marcus, Beats by Dre and Powerade.
3. New England Patriots — Drake Maye QB, UNC
Contract: US$36M. After the UNC standout’s successful 2022 season, a rival ACC coach claimed two schools offered Maye US$5M in NIL money to transfer. Still, Maye has put together an endorsement portfolio involving the likes of Raising Cane’s, Lowe’s and Bose.
