Lion vs Squirrel

When someone asks you what type of animal you would be if you were an animal, what would you say?

When you think of a Lion, you think of the fierceness, the roar that can be heard from up to five miles away. The swagger and the speed, I mean they are capable of bursts of speed up to 50mph.

Did you know that Lions sleep and rest up to 21 hours a day? They do a lot of hanging around and chilling. Given they are carnivores, they really are in a feast or famon situation. Lions don’t have the capability to really plan ahead and make their lives easier, and that is because of their diet.

Squirrels on the other hand eat nuts and berries. They store their food and are constantly planning and thinking ahead. I was surprised to learn that 25% of the food that squirrels store is stolen and given they know this, they do things like fake digging to throw off would be thieves who might be watching.

Squirrels also lounge and play and they can afford to, because they know they have been able to plan for tomorrow.

There is no right answer here and nobody can say living life as a squirrel or a lion would be better than the other. This brief exercise gets you thinking though, what type of animal most suits your personality and who are you becoming as you evolve.
