In today's episode, the EU has recognised the instrumentalisation, or weaponisation, of migration by Turkey through Cyprus' Green Line, the interior ministry has announced.
The development offers new possibilities to deal with illegal immigration.
Elsewhere, primary schools, kindergartens and special schools reopen this morning.
For the 2022-2023 school year, 50,038 children will be in primary schools classes, 12,803 in public kindergartens and 537 in special schools.
In other news, in a letter to King Charles, the president of the National Federation of Cypriots in the UK Christos Karaolis, expressed "deep sorrow" for the loss of Queen Elizabeth.
Karaolis noted that Queen Elizabeth had welcomed all of presidents of the Republic throughout her 70-year reign from President Makarios down to President Nicos Anastasiades.
