In this episode, we welcome back Pini Reznik, CEO of Re-Cinq. While our previous conversation focused on sustainability, this time we dive deep into the accelerating shift toward AI-native transformations.
Pini reflects on why “sustainability as a business model” currently isn’t sustainable. Despite good intentions and regulatory momentum, most companies simply aren’t willing to pay for it. The real path forward? Innovation. And AI, despite its energy demands, may become the very tool that helps us reduce our impact long-term.
He also previews her upcoming book, “Waves of Innovation: From Cloud Native to AI Native”, which examines how companies mature through cloud-native transformations—and how the next wave of AI-native thinking is beginning to unfold. Like with cloud-native, many companies are jumping in too fast, making the same mistakes, or misunderstanding what true transformation requires.
We discuss whether organizations can skip cloud-native altogether and go straight to AI-native, how software development is changing (but not disappearing), and how generative AI lowers the barrier to custom software—especially for smaller businesses.
Pini also makes a bold prediction: Kubernetes might not be the best foundation for AI workloads in the long term. A new kind of platform may be on the horizon.
