The panel of peril stand in the corner of the room, in the shadows, waiting for a chance to strike at their prey. They’re not home. They’ve gone on holiday for three weeks. Damn. Instead, they decide to watch this week’s film The Batman (Matt Reeves, 2022).

The Batman (Robert Pattinson) is, once again, starting out on his career path of borderline psychotic vigilante. Taking out street gangs pushing Gotham’s drug of choice, monitoring the local mafia along with James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), and making the acquaintance of likeminded individuals such as Selina Kyle (Zoe Kravitz). But a mysterious masked man known only as The Riddler (Paul Dano) raises the stakes higher than ever as he wreaks bloody vengeance on high-ranking Gotham officials. Can The Batman unravel the mystery, and stop him?

********PLOT SPOILER ALERT********

Seeking revenge for what he sees as the abandonment of the lower class (principally himself), Riddler targets a conspiracy that ranges from a District Attorney (Peter Sarsgaard) to mob boss Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and even Bruce Wayne’s father Thomas. Yikes! As he racks up a formidable kill list it remains to be seen what his final goal truly is, and what his plan for The Batman entails.

Just what did the panel think of this week’s movie, pray tell? How can they improve upon The Riddler’s twisted scheme? And who will be christened this week’s most diabolical?
