He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps in 2021 after 20 years of service.

He has achieved multiple awards and recognition for his outstanding performance, including the Partners Circle Award four times, ranking him in the top .02% among all SVN advisors globally. He is also a commercial real estate coach for The Massimo Group, where he helps other brokers elevate their business and maximize their potential. Reid is passionate about fostering responsible development and affordable housing in his community, and has served as the chair of the Development Committee for River North Residents Association.
