  • Understanding what calm, relaxed, and content feels like is key to managing emotions.
  • Daily relaxation practice: meditation, or listening to relaxation audios to reset your emotional baseline.

[03:30] - Acknowledge Your Feelings

  • Many people move through their day ignoring emotions—this can be a mistake.
  • Pay attention when your emotional state shifts from calm and content.

[05:00] - Focus and Name Your Emotions

  • Identify where the emotion is in your body and describe the sensation.
  • Give your feelings a name. Recognizing how the label influences your response.
  • Example: excitement and fear often feel similar.

  • You can’t fight your emotions, but you can choose how to react.
  • Sit with the emotion and accept it as a natural bodily feeling without letting it change your plans or actions.
