On this week's show, your video game best friends are trying something new. A longer form content where we dive deep into the current state of video game remakes, remasteres, and reboots.
In this first parter, we talked about the first few games that got the "remaster" treatment (it was back in the 80s), what the differences are with remake vs remasters, the current landscape of remakes and remasters and why some of the best games that was released in the last 5 years were remakes and remasters of our childhood.
Games discussed: Missle Command (1980), Centipede (1980), Mario bros. (1983), Lode Runner (1983), Dead Space, Metroid Prime, Fatal Frame, Resident Evil 4, The Last of Us Part 1, Spiderman.
