Die Anzahl von Fintechs, die ein nachhaltiges Geschäftsmodell mit digitalen Technologien verbinden, wird immer größer und gleichzeitig wächst die Bereitschaft, in grüne Geschäftsmodelle zu investieren: Immer mehr Private Equity-Häuser, aber auch private Investoren wie Prinz Harry und Meghan investieren in nachhaltig ausgerichtete FinTechs. Schätzungen zufolge, sind heute schon zwei von drei neugegründeten FinTechs nachhaltig ausgerichtet. Auf der Frankfurt Digital Finance 2022 haben wir Anfang Februar mit renommierten Experten das Thema Green FinTech Solutions diskutiert und eine englischsprachige Podcast-Folge aufgenommen. Zusammen mit Alastair Marke, Director-General des Blockchain & Climate Institute, Christoph Baumann, Leiter der Taskforce Sustainable Finance beim Schweizer State Secretariat for International Finance, Dr. Tillmann Lang, Co-Founder und CEO von Inyova Impact Investing, und Johannes Laub, Founder und Managing Partner der portagon GmbH, haben wir die Bedeutung grüner FinTechs, die Entwicklung der Branche und aktuelle Technologie-Trends diskutiert.

The number of FinTechs that combine a sustainable business model with digital technologies is growing and, at the same time, interest to invest in green business models is increasing: More and more private equity houses, but also private investors like Prince Harry and Meghan, are investing in sustainably oriented FinTechs. According to estimates, two out of three newly founded FinTechs pursue a sustainably oriented business model. At Frankfurt Digital Finance 2022, we discussed the topic of green FinTech solutions with renowned experts and recorded an English-speaking podcast episode. Together with Alastair Marke, Director-General at the Blockchain & Climate Institute, Christoph Baumann, Head of the Taskforce on Sustainable Finance at the Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance, Dr. Tillmann Lang, Co-Founder and CEO of Inyova Impact Investing, and Johannes Laub, Founder and Managing Partner of portagon GmbH, we discussed the importance of green FinTechs, current developments in the industry and future technology trends.
