This week's edition of Afrika in Focus looks at 30 years of so called democracy in South Afrika.
30 Years ago this week Nelson Mandela became the first democratically elected president of South Afrika.
We state that the system of apartheid never ended with the election of Nelson Mandela and the ANC (African National Congress) government.
We start by advising the public that the system of apartheid ushered in by the Dutch Europeans was a very systemically, calculated plan to subjugate and relegate the African to subservient status in their own country.
We detail how this system of apartheid led to the struggle to end apartheid by activists like Nelson Mandela and Steve Biko.
We advise the listenership that it was the collective efforts of the global African family that forced the hand of the wicked apartheid regime under F W De Klerk to release Nelson Mandela and other senior members of the ANC from prison.
We also highlight the white supremacist faction that tried to derail the so called negotiations to multi party democracy.
We state how Mandela and the ANC allowed themselves to be manipulated by the likes of the 'Afrikaner' Brotherhood to drop key aspects of the Freedom Charter that included the return of stolen land and the re distribution of wealth.
We end by stating that 30 years after the so called historic election and symbolism of Nelson Mandela becoming the first democratically elected president of South Afrika, South Afrika is still under a form of apartheid that is more pernicious than formalised apartheid, and that the ANC has failed the majority of Africans who put their trust in them in favour of safeguarding white/European interests.
