في الحلقة الثانية من مدونة حوار الصوتية نستضيف الفنانة خديجة بكر التي تحدثت إلينا عن مشروعها الفني بأبعاده السياسية والانسانية.

عن الفنانة:

خديجة بكر فنانة متعددة التخصصات من أصل كردي سوري، مقيمة في مونتريال، وعضوة أساسية في مركز التاريخ الشفهي والقصص الرقمية في جامعة كونكورديا.

تبحث أعمالها التجهيزية في موضوعات اجتماعية وسياسية تتمحور حول مشاعر القلق وعدم اليقين في المنزل والوطن من حيث صلتهما بالاضطهاد والهوية والتهجير والذاكرة.

تقدم أعمالها المتعددة التخصصات، من فن النسيج والنحت والوسائط المتعددة، مساحات من التعاطف والفهم الأعمق عن طريق سرد القصص الأداء التشاركي.

أقامت بكر معارض فردية عدة في صالات ومؤسسات عدة في جميع أنحاء كندا، وشاركت في العديد من المعارض المشتركة حول العالم.

In the second episode of the Hiwar podcast, we speak to artist Khadija Baker about her art's political and humanitarian dimensions.

About the artist:

Khadija Baker is a Montreal-based, multidisciplinary artist of Kurdish-Syrian descent. She is also a core member of the Centre for Oral History & Digital Storytelling (COHDS) at Concordia University.

Her installations investigate social and political themes centered on the uncertainty of home and homeland as they relate to persecution, identity, displacement, and memory. Her multi-disciplinary installations (textile, sculpture, audio/video) involve participative storytelling and performance to create active spaces of empathy and greater understanding.

Baker has held several solo exhibitions in galleries and institutions across Canada, and has participated in many joint exhibitions around the world.
