Happy Friday folks! Summer is here, and spring sports are winding down, but it was still a busy week in the MAC.

In this week’s news segment, Zach and Sam discuss the most recent transfer news out of Buffalo. The Bulls lost 6 players to Kansas in the transfer portal this week, though they did also pick up a few Power 5 transfers. It will certainly be an interesting football season in upstate New York.

In basketball news, Ohio’s Ben Vander Plas was named an Academic All-American, while Kent State extended long time men’s basketball coach Rob Senderoff. Congrats to both! In other coaching news, longtime Ohio women’s volleyball coach Deane Webb announced his retirement. In his seven years leading the Bobcats program, Webb captured one MAC regular season championship and another MAC tournament championship.

This past weekend wrapped up the baseball season, and both Ball State and Central Michigan entered the weekend with a chance at the MAC championship. After both teams swept their weekend series’, the Chippewas finished as the MAC champions and earned the conferences auto bid to the upcoming NCAA tournament. CMU was assigned to the South Bend regional, and will start their post-season with a match up against Notre Dame. Ball State was on the bubble heading into selection Sunday, and unfortunately the Cardinals did not hear their name called. The boys give their thoughts.

Looking ahead to football, Zach and Sam break down the pre-season all-MAC teams that were just released. Were there any surprises? Did you feel your team was properly represented? Let us know!

To close out the show, the boys look ahead to the non-conference football games that excite them the most. We all missed these non-conference games last year, and there are plenty of high profile games for MAC teams this year. Which games are you most looking forward to?
