David is the founder and CEO of New Constructs, an investment research company leveraging AI to provide improved equity analysis. In addition to founding New Constructs, David previously ran a long/short equity hedge fund. Prior to New Constructs, David started his career at Credit Suisse, where he pioneered methods for analyzing regulatory disclosures and accounting information, and worked in executive compensation consulting.
David discusses the process of extracting data from regulatory filings, how that process has changed over the last 25 years, and how to glean novel insights from these public disclosures. David explains how extracting accurate data is vital to making informed investment decisions, as well as crucial to training AI models.
