Sarah Ware was born Sarah MacDonald in Nova Scotia in 1846. During the 1860s, she moved to the United States and wound up in Bucksport Maine. She fell in love with the small town and soon after, she fell in love with a local man named Charles W. Ware. He and Sarah wed in 1869, she was 25 and Charles was 23. They divorced in the early 1890s and in 1898, Sarah went missing. On Saturday September 17th, 1898 she was in town, visiting a friend and stopped at a few places along the way, after 9:15pm, she was never seen alive again. Listen to the episode to hear about the life, murder and possible hauntings of Sarah Ware.
