LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network. Last year, I published Episode 3 titled "Your LinkedIn Profile Sucks," in which I discussed what makes a bad profile and offered advice on how to improve your online presence. Episode 12 expands on some of the previous tips by reminding listeners of some of the key components of your LinkedIn profile as well as new tips to help you build your brand.

Employers, recruiters, and other business professionals are looking to network, but they may be passing over your profile because it lacks attention-grabbing content that entices them to connect with you. I'll include quotes from polls I created based on various comments from my LinkedIn community. So, listen closely because your comment could be featured!

I will discuss:

• LinkedIn profile photo - what photos capture attention?
• LinkedIn Banner - Your billboard - how do you summarize who you are in a photo?
• LinkedIn Headline - are you just generic?
• LinkedIn Summary - what should you write here?
• LinkedIn Experience - How far should you go back?

Most importantly, implementing some, if not all, of these suggestions, will assist you in making the most of this platform. You will begin to develop authentic connections to what I call "the greatest online networking party" by posting content, engaging in other people's posts, interacting with key leaders in your targeted industry, joining groups, and more.
