In this episode, I was joined by the Hon. Samira Gutoc and we talked about not only the importance of voting but also dig a little deeper into the roles and responsibilities of our lawmakers.

About our guest:
Our guest, Samira Gutoc is a Mindanao civic leader, journalist, environmentalist, speaker, trainer, and women's rights and peace advocate. She served as a member of the Regional Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and the Bangsamoro Transition Commission. She ran as senator in the 2019 election under the Liberal Party and she just recently joined Aksyon Demokratiko as part of its national executive board. She obtained her degrees in Communication and Master in International Studies at the University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman and was recognized as one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Jordan.
